In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx.
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxStAgnes College, where x = independently organized TED event.
At our TEDxStAgnes College event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion
and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program,
but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Our 2025 edition, themed "Threads of Change for Sustainability," celebrates ideas that inspire mindful living and resilient futures. We aim to spark dialogue and innovation through powerful talks, performances, and community stories. Hosted in the heart of St Agnes College, this event is driven by the energy and purpose of youth. Together, we unravel challenges and weave solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.

Mr Sharan Chilimbi

Mr. Sharan Chilimbi is a passionate speaker and emerging thought leader dedicated to empowering youth and driving impactful conversations. Known for his articulate delivery and strong stage presence, he has hosted and participated in several influential forums and student-led initiatives. Sharan’s work reflects a deep commitment to innovation, leadership, and social engagement. Whether addressing academic gatherings or cultural events, he brings energy, clarity, and insight that resonate with audiences of all ages. A strong advocate for youth development, he continues to inspire the next generation to think boldly and lead with purpose.
Mr Arun Shenoy
Founder Kanthavara | Environmental Educator | Conservation Activist
Mr Arun Shenoy established “Kanthavara”, a forest base camp and training centre, a hub for conservation and education, following his encounter with a tree-poaching incident in the forested area nearby. With help from others, he was able to halt the destruction and save three acres of pristine forest. Here, he conducts forest walk programmes, such as the ‘Broken Forest’ segment, and bamboo in construction and design study. As an environmental educator and conservation advocate, he has effectively demonstrated the impact of unchecked human intervention on forest ecosystems.
Dr Saji Varghese
Assistant Professor and Coordinator | Social Entrepreneurship Wing, Christ Incubation Centre, Christ University, Bangalore | Internationally Acclaimed Eco-Innovative Entrepreneur
Dr Saji Varghese is Associate Professor, Department of English and Coordinator, Social Entrepreneurship Wing of Christ Incubation Centre, Christ University, Bangalore. He has developed 100% biodegradable straws from fallen coconut leaves, an innovation that has won several laurels from across the world. An educator, and the founder of an eco-innovation enterprise, his commitment to sustainability combined with his innovative use of materials and processes has not just reduced plastic waste but also empowered urban poor and rural women who are employed at his venture.
Ms Privy D'Souza
Professional Anchor | Influencer | Miss Teen India 2021 | Youth Parliamentarian 2025
Ms.Privy D'Souza is a dynamic and inspiring young leader who brings grace, intellect, and passion to everything she does. A professional anchor known for her articulate speech and captivating stage presence, she has been the face of numerous prestigious events across the country. Rising to national recognition as Miss Teen India 2021, Privy leveraged her title to advocate for youth leadership, self-confidence, and social responsibility.
